This is the 10th year in a row that the Eilat Red Sea competition takes place in Eilat. Integrating elements from photography, high-tech, touristic and diving industries, the Eilat Red Sea event is branded as a worldwide leading underwater photography competition.
The Eilat Red Sea photo competition is distinguished by exceptional valuable prizes awarded to the winners, including huge cash prizes, diving vacations in dreamy destinations, underwater photo equipment, scuba gear and more. First prize for the main category is a $10,000 check!
The Eilat Red Sea event has been covered so far by many international media channels, such as CNN, Fashion TV and Reuters, as well as countless photo and diving magazines.
The man behind the scenes and the spirit of the Eilat Red Sea event is David Pilosof, an experienced underwater photographer was also the first photographer in the world to introduce the concept of underwater nudity and fashion images, which can be found on one of the most successful photography books ever published, Samantha.

On the 2014 event, Eilat Red Sea will be introducing the National Team underwater photo Olympics as an adventurous opportunity for all underwater photographers.
Underwater photographers originating from the same country are invited to team-up during the Eilat Red Sea competition and to participate in the National Team category. Participants are required to put together an impressive portfolio of 6 images taken during the shoot-out, and to submit this portfolio by the end of the week.
The judging phase will be live on stage during the winning ceremony taking place on September 13 in Eilat and will be live brodcast on the internet.

Good News to Amateurs!
This year, there will be 3 categories open to amateur photographers using compact camera systems: Amateurs Wide Angle, Amateurs Macro and Amateurs - 3 Best Images.
There will be no submission fee on the Amateurs - 3 Best Images category and a significantly discounted submission fee on the Wide Angle and Macro categories.
While these categories are open to amateurs only, prizes are super professional! |

Daily Happy Hours each afternoon, a crazy Cyprus party together with the World ShootOut winning ceremony on Friday night and an extremely elegant, high tension Eilat Red Sea winning ceremony on Saturday night - all of these ensure that you end up not only wet, but extremely satisfied.

- 21:00-22:30- Official opening ceremony at the conference room of the Prima Music Hotel. This ceremony includes briefings by the head of the jury panel, the production team, and by a representative of the local Environmental Conservation Authority.
- 00:01 - Competition officially begins. Start taking photographs!

The production warmly recommends that photographers start reviewing their images and making final decisions during the day, in order to be prepared to submit final images on the following day (deadline for images submission is Thursday, 10:00 am).
